Nctm, Latham & Watkins and Tremonti in the acquisition of the Castello di Casole by Belmond
Belmond Ltd., world leader in the luxury hospitality sector, has acquired Castello di Casole, a major real estate property in Tuscany including the resort of the same name, from Erste Abwicklungsanstalt, a German winding-up agency.
The deal is the conclusion of a successful turn-around operation realized by Erste Abwicklunganstalt and adds prestige to Belmond’s Italian portfolio, which includes, among others, Belmond Hotel Cipriani in Venice and Belmond Hotel Splendido in Portofino. The acquisition marks a further step in the consolidation of the brand, towards a group strategic growth plan.
